This beautiful mill building outside Dunadry was first converted and extended in the 1960’s but the original layout of this Listed Building did not reflect the needs of contemporary living . The ground floor was completely rearranged to place the kitchen, dining and living room at the heart of the house and to provide a compliment of other reception rooms and utility spaces off a generous entrance hallway.
The consideration of space and light was key to the projects success and involved a number of new openings within the stone walls. The first floor was also reconfigured to provide larger bedrooms and a family bathroom, which required a first floor extension. The original conversion was in a tentative Georgian style and the new works enhanced this period feel. Outside subtle but significant changes were made to improve the quality and definition of external spaces.
